Eat Foods With Magnesium

If you can’t access them immediately, buying a magnesium supplement from your nearest pharmacy might be more effective than a painkiller.
Dehydration is a primary trigger for headaches. Lack of water in the body reduces blood volume which also leads to loss of oxygen in the blood. That loss of oxygen to the brain can cause pain to the head. So sometimes, balancing out your level of hydration might be the key to getting rid of a headache.
Get Better Sleep
Adequate sleep is a necessity for the entire body to function properly. It is important for proper brain functioning, maintaining communication channels and removal of toxins. Lack of adequate sleep won’t only cause headaches but could create problems for other systems in the body.

Thirdly, try using a cold compress where you add about 5 drops of the oil in a bowl of cold water then get a clean cloth and dip it in the bowl and place it on your forehead. Ginger Tea – Good news for all ginger lovers, here is one more reason to love it more! You can actually use ginger to get rid of a headache. This powerful herbal remedy may work against migraines and tension headaches too, by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis. It may also help get rid of nausea that comes with migraines.
- Gently simmer 3 quarter-sized slices of ginger root in 2 cups of water for 30 minutes. Make sure that you cover the pot you are boiling it in.
- Drink this tea whenever you feel a migraine coming on.
Chamomile Tea – In case of stubborn headaches, try some chamomile tea! There is nothing like a nice cup of chamomile tea to help you relax and soothe away stress, is there? This delicious tea has compounds that help in relaxing you and easing away the pain.
- Brew 1 cup of chamomile tea using a tea bag in 1 cup of just-boiled water.
- Cover the cup and allow it to steep for 10 minutes.
- You may add some honey to sweeten it.
- Sip the tea slowly in a place where you can get a little solitude.
